We may not have seen it on PC yet, but we have the first images of the new Windows 10X running on the Lumia 950XL. Developer Gustave Monce, who brought Windows 10 to Microsoft's latest flagship with Windows 10 Mobile, is bringing the new OS to the legacy device.
The developer was able to install Windows 10X on the Lumia 950XL, without giving us an installation guide at this time.
As he tells us from his Twitter account, the operating system seems to run faster than the Windows 10 port. In addition, the UI seems to easily adapt to the resolution and screen of the smartphone.
Of course, the biggest question everyone asks the developer is whether he will be able to bring the OS to the Surface Duo, something to which he has not yet answered.
However, just because a smartphone with a Snapdragon 810 SoC can run Windows 10X shows us how much Microsoft has set a goal to hit the near-monopoly of Chromebooks on affordable laptops.
