A few hours ago, Western media reported that Netflix would provide financial support for Johnny Depp's first film after his win in the Amber Heard case.
However, a source close to Netflix told Variety that Netflix did not finance the film and instead licensed it to be shown in France.
As many know, many Hollywood productions have started Depp as a result of Heard's accusations a few years ago.
The film, which will be Johny Depp's first in a long time, is entitled La Favorite, directed by Maïwenn Le Besco.
Depp would be given the character of King Louis XV, king of France from 1715 to 1774.
This means the film will be broadcast on Netflix for users in France.
It is also emphasized that the film is not from the original Netflix series.
The drawing will run from June to September around Versailles Palace.
The last film Depp starred in before was Minamata, which aired in 2020.
