God of War Ragnarok will be released on November 9, 2022, on PS4 and PS5, as announced by Sony. The long-awaited release date was announced via a short new CG trailer. In it we see Kratos and Atreus fighting various enemies before facing Fenrir.
According to Sony, pre-orders will start on July 15, while some special editions were also presented. By pre-ordering any edition you get a gift set of skins and snow items for the heroes.
There will be four editions available: Standard, Digital Deluxe, Collectors, and Jotnar. The last three cover gaming on both ps4 and ps5, while if you buy the standard PS4 version, you'll have the $10 upgrade option to get the PS5 version. Pricing hasn't been announced but the Jotnar looks like a pretty hefty bundle since it includes a vinyl record, pin set, cloth map, 16-inch Mjolnir replica, and more.
Ragnarok is set to be a direct sequel to 2018's God of War and continues Kratos and Atreus' story with the Norse gods.
